Max's Favorite Cowl

I made this cowl to actually be worn on humans! But since I had no models, Max gladly accepted to pose!

Needle
US 8 / 5.0 mm 16” circular needles
Yarn
Classic Elite Yarns: Montera

1 skeins = 127.0 yards (116.1m)
Color way 3818

A super easy cowl!!

This is knit in the round…
CO 90 stitches, Join to work in the round without twisting.
Row one = Knit
5-stitch pattern
Rows 2-6 = K5, P5* repeat * until you complete 5 rounds,
Rows 7-11 = P5, K5* repeat *until you complete 5 rounds
Continue in this pattern until you get to almost the end of the skein.
For this cowl I used an entire skein.
Save enough yarn to knit your last row as a CO row.
Make sure you CO loosely!

Finished!!

I finally finished my Blueberry Boy Bait! It was a simple project, I just have knitting ADD. I have a tendency to start projects all the time, so I usually have 6 or 7 going at a time. (I know, not very smart of me) It does keep me busy!

Rainy Days

The rain is just unreal today. It suits the week though. These last 9 days have been a whirlwind. My DH has been diagnosed with Giardia! He has lost 12 pounds and is so gaunt. But after 5 days of in and out at the hospital and doctors office, they finally diagnosed him. It has been a terrible ordeal for him. The emergency room was the worst. We had to wait for 6 hours before even being seen! He is on the mend as I type this due to great antibiotics!
On the knitting note, I just purchased a great pattern from Wendy. Just scroll down the page to see her "smoke ring". The colors she used in her handspun is what turned me on to this pattern. I am waiting for some yarn to come in to dye it and then begin! I don't think I will make it as big as hers, but more like a cowl. Although, it is beautiful the way it is!

Blueberry Boy Bait

Wow, this yarn is truly beautiful. We went blueberry picking today and the colors reminded me of the yarn. I am calling my project "Blueberry Boy Bait" after a recipe my sister in law makes every time we go picking. I made it for my DH long ago when we were dating and it worked! We have been married 20 years now and I make it every year. Thanks Cathy!!
This is Dream in Color Derby, and I am making a cowl from it. I am almost finished. 10 inches complete, only 8 to go. Its an easy pattern I found online by LollyKnitting Around. Just scroll down to find her patterns.
